Google Renamed Communications Manager To Site Manager In GMB

Google My Business Manager

Google has renamed the communication manager to site manager in Google My Business. With that site managers can create posts to promote events, share news, and more, update business hours, address, and phone number and manage information about amenities.

Kara from the Google My Business team shared the news in the Google My Business Help forums saying "We're excited to announce that the communications manager role will be upgraded to site manager!"

Why did Google make the change? Google said "Based on your feedback to enhance the role of communications managers on Google My Business, communications manager will be renamed to site managers. Over the next few weeks, the newly minted site managers will be upgraded with new permissions."
