mobile seo iconGoogle confirmed this morning that the mobile friendly algorithm that was scheduled to be released tomorrow is still on schedule to go live tomorrow.

The roll out, as we discussed, can take weeks to fully rollout, but the roll out should begin sometime tomorrow.

When I asked Gary Illyes from Google this morning about the roll out, he said:

He also changed the #Mobilegeddon hashtag to #april21 - which I think is fair. I really don't think this will be a "geddon" as many small businesses and web sites will also greatly benefit from this ranking change.

In any event, I plan on doing a large FAQ today at Search Engine Land on what you need to know about this update that is touching down tomorrow, April 21st. Expect the story to be live within the hour of this story, all my notes are already together, it will be an epic post on all you need to know about Google's mobile friendly algorithm.
