Nicolai Helling posted on Google+ that Google is about to drop the reviews lightbox overlay you see when you click on the reviews link within the Google search results. Instead, you are going to be linked directly to the Google+ Local profile of the company page.
Here is what the behavior is right now. You see a search snippet with a reviews link:
You click on it and an lightbox interface overlays the search results with the reviews:
But that is going away and Google may be pushing people directly to the Google+ local profile.
Nicolai said, "in cases where you have a reviews link and a seperate Google+ page link now both links take you to the Google+ Local page URL."
