Google Local Pack Tests New Design

Sergey Alakov posted screen shots on Twitter of Google testing a new design for the local pack.

The most obvious change in the design is a big white space and line separator between the web site icon and the directions icon. The question is why all that white space? What is Google planning to go in that spot? Ads? Deals? Video? Ratings? Or maybe nothing?

Also, you can see the darker blue and black color in the test versus the lighter blue and black colors.
