An ongoing thread at the Google Web Search Help has people, mostly app developers, complaining that when Google shows their iOS app in the search results, it shows their apps as having a one-star rating, when in reality, the app has a five star rating. This doesn't happen for all apps but here is an example for my own apps.

iTunes Rating shows five stars:

Google shows one star:

AJ from Google said the other day in the thread that they are going to fix it in the next release, which should be by the end of this week. AJ wrote:

Hi everyone, thanks for your continued reports here. As Spencer mentioned, he's been following up thoroughly with us regarding this and I'm happy to share that we've been working hard on providing a solution, and a new fix has been scheduled for the next release, which should be rolling out early next week. Appreciate your patience here.

If you continue to see any incorrect ratings after mid-next week, please report back here to let us know and we'll re-investigate. Thanks for your patience!

This was posted on Friday, so hopefully by the end of this week it will be fixed? Who knows.

So if you see poor app ratings in Google, don't believe it.
