Google is testing a new shortcut location for AI Mode in the Google App on Android. Google is placing the shortcut button directly in the search bar.
This was spotted by Glenn Gabe who posted on X and wrote, "AI Mode update: Last night I noticed the shortcut to AI Mode in the Google app was missing! But then I realized Google moved it to the main search bar! Wow, that will drive more AI Mode usage."

I guess Google wants people to use AI Mode.
