Google announced a new ad format for searches done in the format of [nearby X], for example, [nearby auto repair], where it would show click-to-call and directions directly on your mobile device.

Ads with location extensions enabled on their formats will automatically be eligible to show this ad format.
Ayush Agarwal from the Google AdWords team said on Google+:
