Google AdWords Stops Accepting Credit Card Payments From Large Customers

Google AdWords Business Credit CardI was always jealous of the big agencies that manage huge ad spend with Google AdWords. They always boasted how they put millions of dollars of ad spend on their credit card and then billed it back to their customers, leaving them with huge points to use for flights and free stuff.

But now, at least for some, that benefit is going away. Google has stopped accepting credit card payments from their "Large Customer Sales" group, which represents about 1% of their customers, but potentially a nice huge chunk of their revenue on AdWords.

It is not known exactly how much revenue that brings in for Google, but they are switching them all to paper/electronic invoicing. To be paid via ACH or check but not credit card.

This potentially will save Google ~2% on credit card fees for those customers.

Google at one point offered the AdWords business credit card but now it seems they have stopped accepting enrollments into that card.
