Google iPhone App's New Design & Features

Google App iOSGoogle announced a redesigned iOS app for their Google App is now live in the Apple App Store.

The new app flows with the new Material Design look Google is switching many of their product interfaces to. It also adds a lot of new features including:

  • Recent button - see and return to your recently viewed pages in a snap. The app will keep all your recently viewed pages open and easy to flip through.
  • Google button - start a new search from wherever you’re at by clicking the new Google button at the bottom of the app.
  • Google Maps in the app (iPhone only) - explore interactive maps, nearby places and Street View right inside the app. When you’re ready to get going, your trusted Google Maps app will be waiting a tap away with directions.
  • Now cards - keep track of your gift orders, flights, table reservations, and more!
  • Sleek new design - be dazzled by new animations and bigger photos in image search. Looks great on the new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus
