The Who

Yesterday, as expected, Google added a link to the footer of the lyrics box to show who they licensed the lyrics from. So now Google can fully say who they got this content from. But what I found even more interesting was how former Google search quality engineer, Brian White, called out Google's ranking team for crediting the wrong band for the song Behind Blue Eyes.

If you do a search for [behind blue eyes lyrics] - yes you get the source of where Google licensed the lyrics in the footer but at the top, it says the lyrics are from the Limp Bizkit band. But Limp Bizkit only did a cover of that song, the original song is from The Who who recorded it in 1971. While the Limp Bizkit band only did a cover of it in November 2003.

Just an FYI - LyricFind is not the only place Google licenses these lyrics from, they also get it from MusixMatch and probably other providers.
