Michelle from the Google Ad Grants team confirmed in a Google Ads Help thread that Google has recently deactivated a nice number of Google Ad Grant accounts before the big charity season because of compliance issues. There is now a backlog for Google to review and Google is asking these non-profits to use the reactivation form.

Over the past couple of weeks there has been a nice number of complaints about Google Ad Grants accounts being deactivated. Google explained this is because of compliance issues that Google is trying to get on top of before the big holiday season.

Michelle from Google wrote:

Thank you for your feedback on this - we are working through a backlog at the moment. We saw a spike in the number of accounts that needed to make adjustments to comply with policies and wanted to address them prior to peak charity months of November and December. We urge you to use our reactivation form to reach the Ad Grants specialists directly, which currently has a ~2-3 day response time. Please try this form and let me know if you're not getting a resolution.

Here is the form you can fill out if you were impacted by this.

Google said after you fill out the form you should hear back from a Googler within three business days.
