Google Indented Results Showing Different Domain?

Mar 17, 2008 - 7:25 am 1 by

Brent Csutoras reported that when searching for social media consulting on Google, up came an indented result for his site. But the indented result, under the main result was from a different site.

He took a screen capture of the weird occurrence and placed it on his blog.

Google will only indent results when the results are from the same site and found on the same page.

I was not able to reproduce the error, it may have been a personalized result but in any event, the shown event should never ever happen. Maybe it was a temporary bug or maybe Google confused the site to be the same. I am not sure.
