Anti Penguin Link Building, Really?

There is an ad running on this site that pitches "Anti Penguin Link Building," well Penguin is spelled Pinguin in the ad (maybe German).

Have we learned nothing over the years? Seriously pitching Anti Penguin Link Building services? Really?

Anti Penguin Link Building Ad

I know the advertiser is going to hate me for this but I just find it incredibly frustrating. Yes, Penguin is hot now, people who are hit or afraid of being hit would latch onto the ad. It is an ad that will likely get clicks on to learn more but it is the wrong message to the SEO industry.

Link building is done by most SEO companies. To be honest, the rational behind building links naturally is somewhat of an oxymoron. To build links naturally, you should never need to ask for a link - let alone pay someone to get you links.

Anyway, I can't blame the advertiser. I bet the click through rate on ads like this do well. But I wish we didn't have them.
