Google Algorithm Updates & Data Refreshes Are Different Systems

All of you know there are ranking algorithms, data refreshes and infrastructure changes - those are the big three. There are other things in search, such as feature changes, user interface changes and more. But they are all separate systems and don't all happen the same time.

John Mueller of Google even said so the other day on Twitter "Not necessarily -- there are lots of systems that work in parallel, changing one doesn't always mean all others have to be changed."
