Last week, YouTube announced a new design experiment for the channel and YouTube video watch pages. The new look is code named Cosmic Panda.

You can test it out at and learn more about this specific experiment over here.

Love it. I think the video page and channel pages look great. More of a blog feel.

In my opinion, This new format is damn cool, the video page looks awesome. It would be great fun using it.

Does it change anything as far as use?  Or is it just for looks?

Again, YouTube seems to be deciding what appears on a user's home page and where it appears, if it appears.  This was evident in the beta and worsens here.  Where are subscribers?  subscriptions? friends? channel comments?  It's missing way too much and there appears to be a total lack of customization.

I actually think this is a great idea.  They definitely have a few kinks to work out though.  I agree with Allen in that there seems to be a lack of organization.
