Seriously! User Switches To Ask.com Over Google.

Ask.com from GoogleWe've seen users dislike Google's changes over the years. We've seen users say they will switch search engines before.

Heck, we've seen thousands of users say they will switch from Google to Bing.

I've never seen, at least not in the past few years, users tell Google they will switch to Ask.com!

But that is what one user said in a Google Web Search Help thread. He said:

Why would you rather lose customers than turn off autocomplete? I am stopping use of Google and going back to Ask.com.

Of course there is a way to turn it off but who cares. This user said he will go back to Ask.com.

Ask.com is not a search engine - so please, if you are going to switch from Google, at least go to Bing.

You have to be pretty pissed to make that move.

You mean 'pissed' drunk or 'pissed' angry? Either works for me... I'm dowaging for results.

the 'top' users answer doesnt work, just an FYI. I tried it and still get autocomplete but not instant.

Ask.com - seriously? who uses that. Either bing or heck why not go for Baidu or Yandex, just as random as Ask IMHO.

That's it I'm going back to the phone book and asking my crazy neighbor down the street for info. (At least he offers me a beer.)

Ask is lame but that shows that google UI is not helping them either

Maybe he's going to Ask.com to look for an answer to his question on how to turn it off.  I went there to find out and sure enough it was the first result that came up.  I just wonder if he will come back when he figures it out.
