Page One On Google Street Sign

Moises Szarf shared a picture with me of a sign he spotted on the side of a street in Miami, Florida. The sign says "SEO Services - Google's 1st Page" followed by a phone number.

He shared this on Twitter and was a bit surprised to see this.

I 'Googled' the phone number on the sign but did not find anything interesting.

Has our industry come to this?

This post is part of our daily Search Photo of the Day column, where we find fun and interesting photos related to the search industry and share them with our readers.

It's quite funny how far people are going. I'm just wondering if he actually gets customers. I mean if you actually want to be on the 1st page of Google, wouldn't you first Google it. Just saying.

"Has our industry come to this?" You were warned during many years where are you going. But you preferred to ban those, who criticized your activity. Welcome to reality )

I don't know about anyone else, but I don't see that and think "Our industry" any more than a chef looks at a McDonalds and relates to it professionally.

To some of us who have had lots of bad experiences with so called, "seo companies", we're not surprised. After all, we have experienced lots of problems with Google by following these guys recommendations while being lead to the slaughter house.

Saw a similar sign on the roadside in Venice FL. These a-holes are responsible for giving this industry a bad name. It doesn't take a genius to guess that they're either using black hat techniques, or are BS'ing customers by making them think these are organic rankings, when it's just AdWords. What's worse is that they are probably getting a lot of business, although anyone who falls for the scam will never give them repeat business.
