Google Reception Desk

Jeremy Joslin from Google posted a picture of a new reception desk that was recently remodeled at Google's headquarters in Mountain View, California. I should note, I don't think this is the main reception area where guests enter but more likely another desk in a different Google building on their GooglePlex campus.

Jeremy from Google said on Google+:

The lobby in my building just finished a huge remodel, here's the new reception desk.

Looks incredibly nice.

Sorry, disagree that it's nice. Seems very cluttered. Whatever happened to minimalism?

Is that supposed to be the new Google logo? Is it a message? They moving away from the friendly colors to the hard edged steel.
