Google Tests Video Carousels In Desktop Search Results Again

Once again, Google is testing video carousels in desktop search - we saw it a bit over a year ago, we saw it in knowledge panels 1.5 years ago and it is often seen in mobile results. But it seems like Google is testing showing these video thumbnails in a carousel format for top news and other search boxes on desktop again.

Eric Hedekar and Jon Henshaw both saw different variations of them yesterday.

Jon posted a top stories carousel showing videos in a carousel - you may see videos on desktop now but I don't think you'd see a carousel format:
