Google Product Listing AdsRKG spotted a new Google test with the Product Listing Ads, where Google will show an option to expand the products listing ads in the web search results to show up to 16 products in total.

Yes, Google will completely push down all the organic search results, which they do even without clicking on the expander because of the top AdWords ads and then the first line of product listing ads.

Here is an animated GIF showing the action of clicking on the expander and pushing down the organic ads even more.

Pretty serious stuff here, don't you think?

You can read some of the webmaster feedback at Google+, where one said:

More real estate lost on the search results due to more ads... I love Google but they seem to be losing focus of their roots and following the money. Not all good in my eyes.

Seriously moaning? Unless you click the advert expansion bit its pretty much the same as before. The only difference is before the click on the ad took you off to another page, removing you from the SERPs altogether, this way you are at least still on the SERPs page with them visible.

Google itself is becoming Ad heavy but the bitter truth is they control every thing as they are the only big player in the search industry. If a small website publisher put few ads above the fold, it will get penalized by Google, even though the site is serving great content. But here no one can penalize Google itself. Today in organic search for e-commerce industry, there is no place for small players. Only big ones have captured the top slots. Small ones pop up and vanish daily. If they have money they can spent few in Adwords to sustain business whereas big brands have huge financial backup for Adwords and organic search manipulation. If they get caught manipulating search engine their penalty will get revoked as soon as they stuff the mouth of Google search team with dollars or whatever they prefer to.

I wonder why people, especially Barry etc still treat Google as a normal search engine. They are full of scams

Some loser named Tim Mayer @ SEL said that users are looking for this. Really Tim? Users are looking for the site that agreed to pay Google the most money to rank higher?
