Google Updates PageRank Yet Again!

Aug 5, 2011 • 8:31 am | comments (30) by twitter Google+ | Filed Under Google PageRank & Algorithm Updates

Google PageRankIt is not even a month since the last Google toolbar PageRank update which took place July 18th in reaction to a bug with the PageRank update on June 27th or so.

Google, yesterday, has pushed out yet another PageRank update in the toolbar.

What is weird, that it was done so soon. Before the June 27th update, Google didn't do an update for around 6 months. So why are they pushing out updates more rapidly now?

I know that Google was a PR9 for awhile, then they did a one off push to move it back to 10. A few of my sites went down, others went up...none of it really made sense. Not that the metric is important as it used to be, but all the shuffling is curious.

soooo can anyone explain how a site i launched five weeks ago suddenly jumped from a PR of 0 to a PR of 4 over night?

Well that is interesting to know that why Google has update PR again.

PR Doesn't have much to do in SEO anymore. The new update is not accurate. How come a week old website jump from 0 to 3/4. I am sure they have just updated their own PR from 9-10. Wait and watch another update soon.

My personal site, which I never update, has like 3 links to it and has a PR3. An experimental site I launched exactly two weeks ago is already at PR2. Maybe they're using different metrics? Social networks given more weight?

My website http://www.naples-fl-real-estate.com/2010/pelican-bay-naples/ has been on this roller coaster ride. 3 PR updates in as many months. It was PR1, then went to PR 3 for 2 weeks or so, then dropped back to PR 1 for another 2 weeks or so and now is PR 2. Reminds me of a dog trying to catch it's tail! PS> When Google started this series of adjustments, they themselves dropped from PR 10 to PR 9, while their arch enemy Facebook, has remained a PR 10 throughout. Which leads me to believe that Google really isn't happy with their own Google.com site and the adjustments that followed were just futile attempts to gain a PR 10 once again.

I think now there are many users internet and now more users use internet as for online business. For that they use many techniques and try to be the top ranker and try to get more traffic to their website. So people can find many websites as result of their query.  And as website provide useful information and as it visit more, their rank changes. So by this reason google page rank start to update rapidly. link building packages

i was also surprised after checking my tech site www.techriots.com PR went from 0 to 1. But suddenly the site which is 2 months old has got PR2. This is quiet shocking what google is doing? Is this update temporary or permanent? or this changes are for testing purpose?

Page rank updates are so unpredictable. Still, I suppose it keeps us all guessing.
