Google has a special logo for the 117th birthday of the late Martha Graham. The logo is a very elegant dance logo, which slowly and elegantly forms the Google logo through dance motions. You can find a static version of the logo in this story and I also captured the animated version and posted the video below.
Martha Graham is known by many as mother of modern dance. She is credited for forming a new dance style and was the first dancer ever to perform at The White House, travel abroad as a cultural ambassador, and receive the highest civilian award of the USA: the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
She was born today on May 11, 1894 in Pennsylvania and died at the age of 96 on April 1, 1991 in New York City.

Finally, there are some complaints about the logo. Mostly being that it slows down people's computers due to the animation.

I saw today's animation and had to show my wife... She quickly asked "is it Martha Graham's Birthday or something?", to which I replied "Who's Martha Graham?"... I guess when it's Roger Staubach's birthday, I'll get the animation first...

I like the logo very much, but I'm having problems entering anything into the search box when I'm on the Google homepage. The characters typed appear very slowly. I'm having this problem nowhere else -- not even in Google when I'm not on the homepage, so I fear it's connected with today's logo.

Yeah, I watched it once about 24 hours ago when it first showed up. I thought, "oh, that's interesting, but I sure as hell hope this doesn't pop up every F'ing single time I go to Google." Sadly, my fears were rewarded. I can not tell you how annoying this graphic is. In the future, if Google wants to do this crap, please provide an off switch. It's not why anyone comes to Google.
