Google GlassGoogle announced last night on Google+ that any US resident can now buy Google Glass as long as they have them in inventory.

To do so, just go to this URL and buy your Google Glass.

Google wrote:

Last week we told you we'd be trying out new ways to find Explorers. Well, we weren’t kidding. We learned a lot when we opened our site a few weeks ago, so we’ve decided to move to a more open beta. We’re still in the Explorer Program while we continue to improve our hardware and software, but starting today anyone in the US can buy the Glass Explorer Edition, as long as we have it on hand: google.com/glass

We’re ready to keep meeting new Explorers, and we can’t wait to hear all your experiences and feedback to continue to make Glass even better, ahead of our wider consumer release.

It makes you wonder? Are they dumping their inventory to make room for the next version or is this a bad sign?

"Glass also can discreetly shoot photos or video, which some people view as invasive." http://www.cnn.com/2014/04/14/tech/mobile/google-glass-attack/ Yes, its those sneaky cameras we all have come to hate, not so different from pinhole cameras used by many perverts with videos posted on the internet. This all to enhance their popularity. Here Google is giving you the tool to be ultra sneaky and give more videos to their youtube.com site and I am sure it integrates seamlessly into all Google apps and services. "A Surprising Number Of Places Have Banned Google Glass In San Francisco" http://www.businessinsider.com/google-glass-ban-san-francisco-2014-3 Nice plug for Google Barry, but is this 'trending'? At least trending positively? I doubt it. Driving today on the roads, with smartphones in hand, is the most dangerous time since the invention of the car. Add now something that is a total distraction, you have a major issue. Ban driving on roads with Google Glass is an option Glass Explorer Edition $1500 - LOOOL - You couldn't pay me to wear that

I'll get Google Glass only if and when I decide I want to become a douche bag.

Like that comedian said about the Prius... "I'd want one if it didn't look like a gay spaceship." Same issue with Segway, as fun as they look you'd never want to be seen riding one. Glassholes just look like "7 of 9" trekkies and it is never going to be a good look. Seriously, I'd wear an eyepatch over it because I'd rather look like a pirate.

Its funny how some will pay so much for what is a google tracking device. In the UK we have similar devices that are strapped on to criminals legs to track where they are - they are free! I wonder how long before parents will be getting concerned when creepy people with google glass hang out by children's play park filming kids playing? For me they are creepy
