Google's Matt Cutts: "World Got Bored" Of Our Search Quality Highlights

google boredNo we didn't! Google's Matt Cutts on Twitter last night responded to a tweet by A.J. Kohn about Google posting a change log. Matt Cutts responded on Twitter that they did indeed do that, they did, but "the world got bored."

I say, no we did not.

Google use to highlight the 50 + changes they made over the past couple months in search quality. Here is the post from March on the "Search quality highlights: 50 changes for March." They stopped doing that after several months. Why? Matt Cutts said the world got bored with them. Not the SEO world. We always covered them in detail.

Here is Matt's tweet:

We want them back! Don't you?

I'm going to exclusively use Duck Duck Go until they return... that'll surely work. You're welcome internet!

Bring them back Matt! For some reason I feel like Matt was only saying this so that when they do bring them back, SEOs will feel obligated to blog more about them.

I'd never be bored of Google's search-quality highlights, but I might be bored with them. (And if they affected my traffic negatively, I might feel bored by them.)

They mean, they couldn't be arsed doing it any longer because they were bored writing them out. Got it.

exactly. and not only bored, they hate google now. google will do everything to lower quality and get more clicks on adwords ads and to their new "online retail store like amazon" (surely with lot of traffic from search engine, without any history and backlink profile).google != search engine now. Now it something like matt cutts & company favorites search engine.

Google has just become another big boring American company. It does what other big companies that have run out of ideas do. It buys other companies. Appearing in sneakers and Tshirts to announce earnings does not mean you are fun or interesting. It's just another boring affectation. If Sergey Brin would wear a Brooks Brothers suit -- wow, now that would suggest Google had started innovating again.
