A featured WebmasterWorld thread reports that Google has changed the location of the display URL in the AdWords feature ad units. Honestly, as far as I can tell, this is the way it has been since 2004.
The AdWords moderator, anallawalla, said, and let me quote:
This was noted as a test in 2008 but today I am seeing the Display URL before (i.e. on the same line as) the Description text in the ads that appear at the top of the SERP. I am using Google.com.au. (I also got it in Google.com)
Then a senior member backed him up by adding, "I see that too."
The thing is, the display URL has always come before the ad description, on the same line. I have screen shots from 2004 to prove it.
As you can see from that screen shot, the display URL is in the same position as it is today:
What was new in 2008, was that Google was testing showing the display URL above the description for the normal (not featured/top) AdWords ads. Here is a picture of that:
Now, I really am confused because these are moderators and senior members. So am I missing something here?

Hi, I'm seeeing exactly the same thing, and boy, does it annoy me. Sometimes it really ruinis an ad, such as when you wrote in the text "click here now" and there is no URL after it! Is there anything to do about it?
