Google Displaying Exact Address Under AdWords Search Results

In my previous post I showed an example of a search for my company name. I then noticed something I have never seen before. Conduct a search on rustybrick at Google and look (but don't click) at the AdWords listing on the right hand side of the search results. Do you see an exact address that reads "Suite 305, 2 Executive Blvd, 10901"?

Here is a screen capture of the ad:

Address in AdWords

Google is known to show local information, such as the state, under the AdWords listings. They have been showing the state under ads that are geo-targeted locally since at least 2004. However, I have never seen a full address listed.

I cannot see this ad. I've tried search in google.com, and the Ad Preview Tool (hey, you shuld tell people to use this to search you company's name, because it won't count impressions too https://adwords.google.com/select/AdTargetingPreviewTool)

Sorry, I mean I cannot see the adress, the as is ok.

It is no longer showing up for me now... Hmmm...

Anyway, I don't really care about impressions, no one searches on rustybrick anyway,...

It is location sensitive, if the ad is for a business in the users area Google helps out a little bit by letting the user know that the ad is not only targeted to your search but also your neck of the woods.

I know Mike. But I never saw the address displayed, only state names.

Berry: I'm sorry, I saw that in your post but I wasn't clear. I was responding to the post by apieve but now that I reread it I see what you mean. I too have never seen the full address (until now).

I don't see the address (or anything else beneath the URL) for that search. I tried a local search for my location and could only find the state being listed underneath the ad.

I can confirm that Google has started displaying the exact address for those businesses that also have listings on Google Maps. It's intriguing that they would launch this without so much as a notification to advertisers. Some advertisers may have their business on Google Maps without realizing their addresses are now being displayed in Adwords. On the other hand, for those advertisers with storefronts and finely tuned geo-targeting, this is great news.
