On the Google home page is an animated Google Doodle, logo, for the first day of Winter - the Winter Solstice. This Doodle is specific to those searchers in the Northern Hemisphere. We also have a cool animated theme here, so check it out on desktop.
The GIF of the Google Doodle for winter is above and shows a boy on ice trying to catch a snow flake with the ice coming up from under him. It is the same Doodle they used back in June for our summer solstice when the souther hemisphere had winter.
