Stephen Hawking Google Link

Many of you are probably aware of the passing of Stephen Hawking yesterday. It is all over the news and Stephen Hawking was an instrumental figure to the whole world. You can read about his contributions and life at the NY Times or in hundreds of other publications.

So Google has a memorial link on their home page for his passing. But the weird thing is that when you click on the link, it goes to Google UK, not the Google version you are on.

Here I am on Google.com and as I mouse over the link, it shows a direct link to Google.co.uk:

Do you see the same thing?

So it takes you to https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=stephen+hawking vs https://www.google.com/search?q=stephen+hawking
