Travis Wise, A Google tax lawyer, posted a picture of spindles of cable outside of Google's headquarters in Mountain View, California. He said, "Internets." The post is on Google+.
What is funny is that even Google's tax attorneys get excited about new internet cables being plugged into the GooglePlex. Now the GooglePlex has some of the fastest internet speeds out there. So more fiber in the GooglePlex seems like adding more of a good thing to an awesome thing already.
That being said, I also got excited to see spindles outside of my former office. No, the fiber never came, so it was a big tease. But it is a geeky thing to get excited about spindles.
