Google Doodle For Phoebe Snetsinger

Today on the Google home page in the United States and some other countries is a special Google Doodle, Google Logo, for Phoebe Snetsinger. Phoebe Snetsinger was a birder, a bird watcher, who saw 8,398 species of birds by the time she died at the young age of 68.

She was born in Lake Zurich, Illinois, a Saint Louis suburb and was married with four children. She died on November 23, 1999 in Madagascar. She was in Madagascar on a bird watching trip, the van in which she was riding overturned and killed her. She was declared terminal cancer patient for two decades, but died while doing what she loved, birding.

She is one of the most well known individuals in the field of bird watching. You can learn more about the Doodle over here.
