Today on the Google home page is a special logo celebrating the life of Marie Curie. Marie Curie was best well known for her work in the field of radioactivity. She is the only person to win a Nobel Prize in two different sciences, one in physics and the other in chemistry. She was also the first female professor at the University of Paris.

Marie Curie was born today, 144 years ago on November 7, 1867. She was born in Warsaw, Kingdom of Poland and died at the age of 66 on July 4, 1934 in France.
