Markup Tags Showing In Google+ Local Pages

There are confirmed reports in Google Places Help that in some cases, under the "from the owner" section in the Google Maps / Google+ Local business profile, HTML and other web markup may show up.

DIV tags, ULs and bullets, as well as other markup might show. Here is a screen shot:

Jade W. from Google confirmed the issue and said the team is working on a fix, she wrote:

Seeing reports that HTML tags (like <div>, etc) are showing up on owner descriptions for merged pages that have gone through local verification. Team's working on fixing it, will post back here when I've got updates. Thanks for reporting!

There is not ETA for a fix but I suspect it won't take long to clean these up.
