VoiceXML (VXML) Markup Not Coming To Google Soon

Joe Youngblood asked Google on Twitter if Google would "honor VoiceXML in the near future to help match voice searches with website content." Google's John Mueller responded on Twitter basically saying no.

VoiceXML (VXML) is a digital document standard for specifying interactive media and voice dialogs between humans and computers. It looks like this:

I wouldn't expect new/unsupported markup to have an effect, but voice is definitely an exciting area.

So no VXML support from Google any time soon.
