Video Publishers: Google Wants To Hear From You On Indexing & Ranking

Apr 29, 2015 - 7:55 am 0 by

Google TVAre you a publisher that creates videos? I am, okay, I only produce a pretty boring weekly SEO video but I still produce videos and truth is, I don't think they get enough exposure in Google's search results being that there are only a few sources that produce video content on search marketing on a regular basis.

That being said, Google's Gary Illyes posted on Google+ asking to speak to video publishers around their difficulties with Google. This was sparked from reading that the WSJ does 40 videos per day with a team of 40 people. Video is big, that is for sure, and is Google doing a good enough job surfacing the the right videos with the right content.

Gary said, "Are you producing videos for your site or app? What are the challenges of having video content for your digital presence? (be that hosting, search, or anything really)"

So go ahead, let him know on Google+.
