SEOs Love The New Google Shopping Placement

Google Shopping has switched to a paid model and with that, Google has been testing user interfaces for where to place these Google Shopping results.

The test that everyone is seeing now is placing the listings at the top right. Previously, Google Shopping results were mixed into the organic results, typically pushing down the core organic listings and giving Google merchants a preference.

Here is a picture of the new user interface for listing Google Shopping results:

So what you see here is that the organic listings now remain clear of other databases and that makes SEOs much happier.

Of course, those who were ranking well in the Google Merchant (Shopping) results previously are not happy the location moved and that they have to pay to be listed.
