The Google Request Indexing Quota Seems To Be Enforced

Last week we reported how Google removed the quota notification within the request indexing feature in the Google Search Console fetch as Google feature. We noted the documentation still had the quota but the interface removed the quota notification.

Well, I've been trying to hit the quota and although I do not get a specific message I hit the quota, I do get an error when I keep trying to submit more than 10 requests within a month. The error I am getting reads "an error has occurred, Please try again later." It doesn't tell me how much later to try again or why there is an error. It might be just an error and unrelated to the quota, but I am not sure.
