Google Tests "Relevant History" In Search Results

Google History

Google is testing showing searchers a section in search called "relevant history." It seems to show your past searchers that are relevant to the search you just triggered right now. This feature brings awareness to Google storing your search history, so I am not really confident this is a feature Google will fully roll out.

This was first spotted by @TotalSecurily on Twitter and Jen covered it Friday, here are screen shots:

Google Relevant History Search

Then when you click to expand it, it shows you the history:

Google Relevant History Search Expanded

I have personally never seen this feature and I do not see anyone else talking or seeing this, so it is probably a very limited test.

I'd be very surprised if Google does more widely release this feature because it drives more awareness to Google storing people's search history at https://myactivity.google.com/myactivity.
