Google announced on Google+ that they added a new reporting section to the Google Play Developer Console - the console where Android developers go to manage their apps in the Google Play Store.

The new section is named User Acquisition and gives you data on how your users downloaded and purchased your app.

You are able to see visits to your app in the Google Play Store, how many installed it, who bought stuff in the app and who did repeated purchases in the app.

Here is another screen shot but of a real app that my company publishes (we have some android apps):

Very cool data for an app publisher.
