Google: Some Old Features Won't Be In New Google Search Console

Just yesterday, 24 hours ago, we reported that John Mueller of Google said that they will be porting all the old Google Search Console features to the new version. But then the same day, hours later, Gary Illyes from Google on stage at PubCon said they will likely remove some of the old features and not port them over to the new Google Search Console.

Which is it?

Here is the tweet covering what Gary said:

Maybe Gary is talking about what John mentioned that some of the reporting tools will be consolidated? So that you can get the AMP, structured data, job listings, etc all on one report instead of using multiple reports?

But, at least the coverage of his talk, made it sound like some features will be going away completely.

It is unclear but I suspect before Google removes features like the link tool or fetch as Google, they will think hard about the community reaction to it.

I guess time will tell - but I really don't know if it has been decided on what features get consolidated, ported or removed. John was pretty clear that there are no plans to get rid of features completely.
