The new Google app on Android now gives you flight alternatives when your flight is delayed or cancelled, powered of course by Google Now.
Google announced this on Google+ saying:
Google Now already gives you a heads up about cancelled or delayed flights. Now, on your Android phone, you'll also see a link to find alternate flights - with one tap, you can quickly see your options and the necessary information to get your flight rebooked and be on your way!
Now, pleading with the airlines to get on a different flight isn't easy and some may find the notification of alternative flights to be a tease. ;-) But truthfully, any frequent flyer already has a process for handling this, so this gives those who are not as flight savvy similar tools.
