Google News Any LanguageAs you know, Google News revamped the home page as well as added blocking features but during the upgrade a well used feature for searching for articles and stories in "any language" went missing in action.

There were several threads in the Google News Help forum with complaints that the feature was removed. For some, it made Google News a lot less useful. One said:

Sadly it seems they have removed this feature. I hope enough people complain so that maybe they'll realize people LOVED it and miss it and are desperate to have it back. For a company that is touting all kinds of translation features, why they removed this is a complete mystery. Hopefully real humans read these blog posts and will be able to address the problem.

Last night I emailed Google about this going MIA for a story on Search Engine Land and did not receive a response. But overnight the feature came back.

I have to assume it somehow got on Google's radar as a bug and was fixed.

Either way, happy searching in any language!
