The Google News blog announced Google News is now amplified, meaning, going to Google News on your mobile device will now show some AMP content and load that content in an AMPlified manner.

When you click on a story, it takes you into the AMP experience, letting you swipe between story and story once in a story:
Google News was the most obvious next step for AMP, next up? Maybe Google Finance news?
