A week or so ago, Google told us that they released an update to Google My Business Insights that would result in us getting improvements in terms of how soon we see fresh data from the analytics tools. Well, Google misspoke and now we are told we won't see these improvements happen for at least 3 to 6 months.
Kara from Google came back into the Google My Business Help thread, a week after saying "We're happy to announce that we've made improvements to ensure that your Insights data is more up-to-date. To give you a more accurate idea of how your listing is performing, you'll now see Insights data up to yesterday in Google My Business."
Kara said yesterday, on the eve of Thanksgiving, "There's been a delay in this launch. We hope to have it live in the next 3-6 months."
That is sad - but at least we know it is in their pipeline to improve how fast the data pipe is with this specific analytics tool.
