Catalonian flagA Google Maps Help thread has confirmed reports of a bug with Google Maps label in the Catalan language.

Daniel from the Google Maps team confirmed the issue 11 days ago saying:

We've gotten a number of posts about the Catalan labels appearing in the wrong language on Google Maps. There's a technical issue on our end— we're working on a fix.

Google has fixed some of the issues but there are still many reports of ongoing issues with those labels.

Catalan is a Romance language officially spoken in Andorra. It is also a co-official language in Catalonia, the Balearic Islands and Valencian Community, where it is known as Valencian, as well as in the city of Alghero, on the Italian island of Sardinia.

There is no ETA for a complete fix.
