Some Google Knowledge Panels Looking More Like Featured Snippets?

It seems like more and more people are asking me recently if the Google knowledge panels are looking more and more like featured snippets. Some are asking me if Google has moved some of the featured snippets from the top left side to the right side, where the knowledge panel is typically is found.

Here are two screen shots, one from @sergey_alakov and the other from @brodieseo with examples:

Sergey wrote "this knowledge panel's content looks more like what I would expect to see in a featured snippet." Brody wrote "it has all the characteristics of a Featured Snippet, although it's placement is similar to that of the Knowledge Panel."
