Google: You're Really Dead, Really

Google Knowledge Graph DeadSeems as if Amy Wilentz came back to life after Google's knowledge graph confirmed she was dead.

This is not the first person Google put 6 feet under. We had it before with Madhav Prasad Ghimire but that case was more of a mystery. This one, kind of black and white.

The issue with Amy was that her Wikipedia page did mention the death of her father, which was used mistakenly by Google's Knowledge graph. She is really 58 years old, living in NYC born on September 1, 1954. So she is fine.

It is a good thing Google's knowledge graph can't really kill someone or can it?

Matt Cutts of Google commented at a Hacker News thread saying:

I believe this has been fixed for a while now. It was fixed by the time I reported this over a week ago, for example.

If you see an error in a Knowledge Panel (the box on the right-hand side), look for the "Feedback / More info" link at the bottom of the box and then you can click next to a fact to report a problem. People do review those reports, and that's the fastest way to report an issue.
