Google Ignores Browser Location Requests (Allow & Block)

You know those browser requests you get where it says this website wants to know your location and makes you click block or allow?

Location Popup Browser

Well, GoogleBot, Google's crawler ignores them.

Since Google ignores them and does not really see them, it shouldn't have an impact on your rankings.

John Mueller from Google said on Twitter "Googlebot ignores those." He did add, "but I doubt users love them as the first thing in a landing page."

I really hate those requests but you can allows block them by default. I don't mind the mobile browsers doing this because, well, mobile location matters more. But desktop browsers?

I also highly doubt Google would penalize sites for using this technique.
