Google hotel search feature now has support to show vacation rentals and not just hotels. Skift spotted this a week ago and then I covered it at Search Engine Land on Tuesday and now it is news.
In short, there is a new filter in the web search hotel search box for "vacation rentals" and also once you drill into the hotel search user interface.

Since I never go on vacations, this does not appeal to me. But I guess it makes sense to allow those looking to get away to be able to filter by hotels versus vacation rentals.
