A couple months ago we reported that Google would soon deactivate AdWords accounts with no spend in the past 15 months. Well, that is now going to start any day now. Google updated us on Twitter saying this is going to start happening soon in mid-May, which is about now.

Google said this is aimed to help speed things up for them. To help speed up AdWords, accounts without spend in the last 15 months will be deactivated starting mid-May. You can reactivate at any time, Google said.

Google has more details about this in this help document that says:

Your AdWords account has been inactive for more than 15 months - meaning your account hasn’t spent in more than 15 months, and was automatically canceled.
