Bing Malware Warnings Adds Salt To Wound

Bing MalwareWe know Bing takes 3-6 weeks for the malware removal label to disappear, which is much longer than Google's malware removal process (which is days). But to give Bing credit, they had user access to Webmaster Tools years before Google did.

In any event, can you imagine first finding out you had a malware warning and then having it removed to only find out you have to wait 3-6 weeks for the label to be removed from Bing's search results. Yea, that can be very very upsetting for those who were hacked into, injected with malware and now have to live with the consequences for another month or so.

A Bing Help thread has one frustrated user speaking up:

I have cleaned and secured my site over 4 weeks ago. But BING still shows a malware warning.

I was told that it should go away next time they index the site but i just received email from BING warning me about malware found. This is complete BS!

Should Bing work on speeding up this process a bit?
